Welcome to the ARENAS Didactic Learning Platform. Here we host interactive multimedia resources for you to use and share. To foster a spirit of people living together in harmony across Europe, we are making policy recommendations to prevent extremist narratives from taking hold in the future. This is the scope of this Learning Platform, which addresses different members of society. 

Learners and students on the one hand, educators on the other, as well as policy-makers, NGOs, journalists and members of civil society keen to better understand how language affects our lives and how to use it ethically. 

The work of the team that developed the Learning Platform at ARENAS focuses on mediation and remediation. One of our main tasks has been, in particular, the analysis of the language strategies employed in extremist narratives.

However, our aim is not only to raise awareness but also to provide all of you, as global citizens, with the tools to avoid being caught in the web of hate speech and extremist rhetoric, and to enable you to express yourselves and communicate in ways that counteract such discourse.
