Artificial Intelligence applied to Extremist Narrative Analysis in the Online Discourse Workshop

Socially Unacceptable Discourse (SUD) and Extremist Narrative (EN) analysis are hot topics in sociology and linguistics. These fields have a great interest in SUD and EN automatic detection across online texts, and this is one of the main objectives of the ARENAS Horizon Europe project

At CY Cergy Paris Université, several heterogeneous researchers are working on the proposal of new cutting-edge AI technology applied to SUD and EN analysis. This has prompted the 1st International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence applied to Extreme Narrative analysis in the Online Discourse. Professor Julien Longhi and Dr. Linardi Michele, along with their team, are organising this international workshop which will take place at the ETIS lab in Cergy on March 26th 2024. This AI4EN workshop will bring interdisciplinary researchers together to discuss groundbreaking research in the SUD automatic analysis area.

Invited speakers include Professor Farah Benamara of the Université Paul Sabatier – IRIT lab, CRNS, Professor Julien Velcin from the Université of Lyon 2 – ERIC lab and Dr. Senja Pollak from the Jožef Stefan Institute.

The workshop duration will be a one-day event, from, 9 am – 5 pm, and delegates can attend in person or remotely.  The full programme is available to view here and will permit attendees to have time for several scientific presentations and the time for a concluding panel and discussion.

Mandatory Registration is at this link  https://tinyurl.com/AI4ENregister and there will be remote access at https://tinyurl.com/AI4ENremote
